About Union Station

Denver’s Union Station neighborhood is centered on the historic station and the streets around its regional transit complex. Wynkoop Plaza faces the older Downtown blocks, while the Millennium Bridge leads across the tracks toward the Riverfront Park area and views of Commons Park.

The historic hall and the working transit complex

The historic station at 1701 Wynkoop Street contains public gathering space, restaurants, shops and a hotel. Behind and around it, commuter rail, light rail and an underground bus concourse make up a larger transportation hub.

RTD’s station diagram distinguishes the rail platforms from the bus boarding areas. The A Line’s airport service is one of several regional connections arriving here.

Wynkoop Plaza faces the older Downtown streets

Wynkoop Plaza provides public space immediately outside the historic station, beside its restaurants and shops. It offers a street-level place to begin exploring the station area without taking a train.

The building’s public dining and shopping areas welcome visitors as well as passengers. The station address faces Wynkoop Street, while transit boarding points occupy other parts of the complex.

Across the tracks toward the riverfront

Southwest of the station, the Millennium Bridge carries pedestrians over the railroad tracks in the Riverfront Park area. Its mast and cable-supported deck form a recognizable landmark beyond the historic hall.

From the bridge, views open toward Commons Park, Lower Downtown and Lower Highland. This crossing introduces the riverfront side of the neighborhood, with a different street setting from the station’s Wynkoop facade.
