A daily supermarket and a three-day produce market
FoodMaxx at 3000 East 9th Street posts daily grocery hours of 5 a.m.–11 p.m. It is a separate supermarket destination from the Village’s pedestrian market area.
At Fruitvale Transit Village, the Unity Council publishes market hours of 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Sunday. Vendors sell seasonal produce, prepared food and other goods. The supermarket and market schedules were checked October 19, 2026.
Fruitvale BART connects to three rail lines
Fruitvale BART is at 3401 East 12th Street beside the Village. It serves Dublin/Pleasanton–Daly City, Richmond–Berryessa/North San Jose and Berryessa/North San Jose–Daly City trains. The station timetable separates weekday and weekend services.
Fruitvale’s wider commercial corridors also include International Boulevard, Fruitvale Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. A home search on those streets extends beyond the station plaza, so the final approach to BART varies with the address. Rail information was checked October 19, 2026.

Peralta Hacienda Historical Park is on 34th Avenue, away from the immediate BART and Village cluster. Its outdoor exhibits include the footprints of adobe structures built in 1820 and 1840, a reconstructed hacienda-wall outline, native plants and historically themed play structures.
The site also contains the 1870 Peralta House, which houses indoor exhibits, and a wooded creek nature area.
