Andrew Dickson White House

Andrew Dickson White House on Cornell’s Ithaca campus combines Victorian Gothic architecture with the university’s intellectual history.

The former home of Cornell’s first president now houses the Society for the Humanities and supports academic programs.
Plan an exterior architectural stop or choose a public event from the Society’s current calendar. This is an active university research setting, so ordinary campus visiting does not grant access to offices, meetings or every interior room. Confirm entry arrangements for the specific program and follow campus parking rules. Respect researchers and event participants when photographing the building.
