Capitol Park extends east of the Maine State House in Augusta, providing a landscaped setting for the civic buildings and a quieter place to walk or reflect.

Paths and mature trees give visitors an outdoor counterpart to the surrounding government and museum destinations.
Explore the public park using its established routes and follow any event or maintenance notices. Organized activities have separate state-use requirements, while access to the State House interior follows its own arrangements. The photograph shows an entrance and tree-lined path; it does not depict a guided tour of the capitol buildings.
