Captree State Park offers a waterside destination around a major charter-fishing dock on Long Island’s south shore.

Harbor views and the working fleet give it a different character from an ocean-beach park.
Use current state information for shore access, parking and permitted fishing areas. Boat excursions are separately operated and require their own schedules, bookings and weather checks. The photograph shows vessels at the docks during an earlier visit rather than a current sailing roster. Keep clear of working equipment and follow instructions around boarding areas and the water’s edge.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
