Carkeek Park combines forested trails, wetlands and a Puget Sound shoreline setting in northwest Seattle.

The park’s varied terrain offers options for a woodland walk as well as views toward the beach, with an orchard and a salmon-themed play area adding other points of interest.
Check current city notices before planning beach access, particularly the pedestrian railroad-bridge replacement project. Use designated crossings and never cross the active railway tracks at ground level. Choose a route suited to the slopes and current conditions, and follow closures or diversions affecting particular paths and facilities.
