Ellicott City Firehouse Museum occupies a small historic fire station on Church Road.

The building and interpretation explore the challenges of fighting fires in a town of steep streets and closely spaced buildings during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
The county lists weekend afternoon tours following the museum’s April 2026 reopening. Confirm the current schedule before visiting, especially around weather or special events. A focused stop here can add context to a walk through the historic district. Group arrangements and other county historic sites have separate access procedures.
