Georgia Museum of Art serves as both a university art museum and the state’s official art museum on the Athens campus.

Changing exhibitions and its permanent collection give visitors a reason to look beyond the university’s sporting landmarks and spend time with painting, sculpture and other art forms.
Admission is free, but check current opening days, ticket reservations and campus parking instructions. The image reproduces Cecilia Beaux’s 1888 painting Twilight Confidences, a verified work in the museum’s collection. It illustrates the collection rather than promising that this particular painting is on display during every visit.
