The State Botanical Garden of Georgia combines cultivated gardens, natural areas and educational facilities beside the Middle Oconee River in Athens.

Its range of plantings makes it useful for both a short garden visit and a longer walk through seasonal landscapes.
Use the garden’s current visitor map to choose a route and check the opening arrangements for indoor spaces, special programs and individual attractions. Trails and garden surfaces can vary with weather. The photograph shows the garden’s entrance sign rather than a particular seasonal flower display.
