Leucadia State Beach offers a narrow coastal beach setting beneath the bluffs in Encinitas, commonly approached at Beacon’s.

The shoreline provides a different experience from the city’s larger, more developed beach parks.
Check current access notices before using the bluff-side approach, which can be affected by erosion and repairs. Tides and surf influence how much beach is available. The photograph shows the beach below the cliffs rather than a guarantee of a safe stair or trail descent on the day of your visit.
