Oceanside Pier extends a wooden walkway over the Pacific, offering views of the surf, beach, and coastal skyline.

It is a focal point for a stroll along the city's waterfront and a different way to experience the shore from above the water. The photograph shows the ocean beside the pier's wooden railings.
Most of the pier is accessible, but its far western end remains closed following the 2024 fire while repair planning continues. Check current city notices and stay behind all barriers. Allow for wind and changing coastal weather, and follow posted rules around fishing and other shared uses.
