Parma Park protects chaparral, woodland and grassland in the foothills above Santa Barbara.

An expanded trail network connects the former ranch landscape with hilltop views and opportunities to observe native habitats.
The photograph shows an earlier view of the open space. Trails were improved and expanded in 2024, so use current city maps rather than relying on older routes. Hiking and equestrian use are permitted, while bicycles are prohibited in the park. Keep dogs leashed, yield to horses and avoid muddy trails. Check current weather and fire notices before choosing a route.
Visitor details reviewed October 25, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
