High-rise rental fees, City Creek groceries and transit to downtown performances
About Downtown
Downtown Salt Lake City combines high-rise rentals around State Street with City Creek grocery shopping and venues such as the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. Short trips inside UTA’s mapped Free Fare Zone and same-day transit with eligible ArtTix tickets offer two different ways to make local outings.
Liberty Sky: beyond base rent
Liberty Sky at 151 South State Street offers studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Its operator lists a controlled-access parking garage, EV chargers, bike storage with repair facilities and in-home washers and dryers.
Cowboy Properties’ cost guide lists a $125 monthly community fee and $99 technology fee, adding $224 before base rent, utilities and other applicable charges. It also lists a $15 insurance-waiver charge that is removed when proof of renter’s insurance is provided.
Pet terms include a $400 one-time fee, $200 refundable deposit and $45 monthly rent per pet, with a two-pet limit and breed/weight restrictions. Parking pricing and concessions differ across the estimator’s displays; obtain the itemized lease quote rather than treating a promotional parking offer as permanent.
Harmons City Creek groceries
Harmons City Creek Center is at 135 East 100 South, with store hours of 7 a.m.–10 p.m. every day, including Sunday. The store lists online ordering, curbside pickup and delivery, alongside a pharmacy, post office and cooking school. Its grocery number is 801-428-0366; the pharmacy has a separate number, 801-428-0399, and the store’s grocery hours do not establish pharmacy hours.
Short rides inside the Free Fare Zone
UTA’s downtown Free Fare Zone covers TRAX and fixed-route bus journeys only when both boarding and exit are within the boundary on its map. Crossing the boundary requires paid fare, and FrontRunner is excluded. Electronic fare-card riders still tap on and off; bus riders tell the driver when staying inside the zone.
For a trip beyond the zone, UTA’s regular local fare is $2.50 with a two-hour transfer window, or $5 for a day pass, as checked October 20, 2026. The boundary map is useful for short grocery or theater trips; it does not make every trip from a downtown home free.
The Rose and ArtTix transit
The Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, at 138 Broadway, houses the Jeanne Wagner Theatre, Leona Wagner Black Box and Studio Theatre. Its ticket window opens 90 minutes before a show and closes 30 minutes after the performance starts. ArtTix is the county’s authorized ticket seller; the booking line is 801-355-2787.
An ArtTix ticket for a show at the Rose or another participating Salt Lake County Arts & Culture venue doubles as UTA fare on the performance date. Show the paper or digital ticket to the bus driver or train host; the ticket and travel dates must match. The program covers buses, TRAX, FrontRunner and UTA On Demand. The county identifies Gallivan Plaza on the Green and Blue lines as the TRAX stop for the Rose.
