Alameda Museum explores the history and culture of the island city through objects, photographs and local stories.

Displays connect the community’s changing neighborhoods, businesses and public life with the people who have shaped Alameda.
Check the museum’s current weekend opening arrangements and exhibition program before visiting. The museum also supports talks and other historical activities, while visits to the separate Meyers House follow their own schedule. Allow time for the smaller artifacts and personal stories, which provide a different perspective from the city’s larger waterfront attractions.
