Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda combines playable machines with exhibits about pinball’s history, design and technology.

The collection lets visitors compare changing artwork and mechanisms while experiencing the games as they were intended to be used.
Check current admission and operating arrangements before visiting, since the museum closes for regular maintenance and individual machines can be unavailable. Allow time to try games from different periods rather than concentrating only on familiar titles. Historical displays add context to the playing experience and make the museum more than a conventional arcade.
