Blake Garden is UC Berkeley’s landscape laboratory in the Kensington hills.

Planted gardens, woodland paths and a formal reflecting pool illustrate how design and horticulture can respond to a varied hillside setting.
The photograph shows the garden during an earlier visit. Public admission is free during current Tuesday–Friday daytime opening; the garden closes on Mondays, weekends and university holidays. Weather or administrative closures can occur at short notice. Expect slopes, stay on paths and arrange accessible gate access with staff when needed. Blake House is closed to the public, and guided tours require separate arrangements.
