Wildcat Canyon Regional Park protects the creek watershed and ridges above Richmond.

Trails cross open hills and woodland, with viewpoints and connections toward Tilden, while the historic Alvarado area provides an easier picnic and play setting at the northern entrance.
The photograph shows the park landscape during an earlier visit. Trail uses and difficulty vary, so choose an authorized route using the current district map. Check fire, weather and maintenance alerts before travelling, particularly for longer connecting walks. Parking-gate times differ from general park hours. Respect grazing animals and other trail users, and confirm group picnic arrangements separately.
