Booker T. Washington Park combines sloping green space with community recreation facilities in Charlottesville.

Its name honors the educator and connects the park with the city’s African American history and long-established neighborhood life.
Use current city information to choose an entrance and check the availability of individual facilities. Swimming is seasonal and follows separate pool arrangements; ordinary park access does not guarantee a staffed water activity. The photograph shows an entrance setting within the park. Keep shared paths clear and respect organized sports, reserved gatherings and temporary maintenance areas.
