Desert Botanical Garden introduces the variety of desert plants through outdoor trails and cultivated displays in Phoenix.

Desert Botanical Garden introduces desert plants through outdoor trails and cultivated displays in Phoenix. Cacti, succulents and other drought-adapted plants connect the garden with the Sonoran Desert around the city.
Its trail guide distinguishes the Desert Discovery route from the Plants & People of the Sonoran Desert and Desert Wildflower loops. These areas address plant adaptations, human uses of desert plants and seasonal flowering rather than repeating one kind of planting throughout the grounds. Much of the visit is outdoors, with sun and heat exposure; daytime admission and special evening events have separate arrangements.
