Tempe Town Lake creates a long water landscape beside downtown Tempe.

Shoreline paths, bridges, and views toward the city make it useful for a walk as well as organized water recreation. The photograph shows a view near the Red Mountain Freeway crossing, one part of the broader lake corridor.
Choose a shoreline access point or authorized rental operator before traveling, and check current lake conditions. Swimming is restricted to specifically permitted activities, while boating and paddling have their own rules. Bring water and sun protection, and use current city notices for closures, events, or changes to lake access.
