Fort Pickering Light stands on the rocky edge of Winter Island in Salem, close to the historic fort and former Coast Guard station.

Its small white tower offers a distinct maritime focal point within a park that combines coastal scenery with several layers of local history.
Follow Winter Island Park’s current entry, parking and seasonal-use arrangements, and view the lighthouse from permitted outdoor areas. Interior access is not assumed. The photograph shows the tower beside the rocks; tides, slippery surfaces and coastal weather can affect how closely it can be approached.
