McLaughlin Eastshore State Park protects a chain of bayfront landscapes along the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay.

Paths, restored habitats and open views connect several East Bay communities, including Berkeley, with a changing tidal environment.
The photograph shows an earlier view within the shoreline park. Different sections have their own entrances, permitted uses and habitat restrictions, so use the current district map to choose a visit. Restoration and maintenance can interrupt connecting routes. Keep dogs within authorized areas, avoid disturbing birds and stay clear of sensitive shoreline vegetation. Check current access and weather before travelling, especially for a longer Bay Trail outing.
Visitor details reviewed October 25, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
