Albany Bulb is an unusual San Francisco Bay shoreline landscape where trails, improvised art and volunteer vegetation occupy former construction fill.

Views across the water connect its rough paths and concrete fragments with the wider East Bay waterfront.
The photograph shows actual trails and reused concrete at the Bulb. Approach from Buchanan Street and consult current city notices before exploring. Paths include uneven and unpaved surfaces rather than a uniform accessible promenade. Artwork and informal structures change over time, so older photographs may differ from what is present. Respect habitat protection areas, follow posted dog rules and keep clear of unstable structures.
