Colgate Clock

- Jersey City
The Colgate Clock is an oversized octagonal timepiece on Jersey City's Hudson River waterfront near Exchange Place.

It recalls the Colgate industrial complex that once occupied this part of the city, offering a small but distinctive landmark among the modern towers and harbor views. The clock is best appreciated as part of a waterfront walk.
Plan an exterior viewing stop from the public waterfront area rather than an indoor museum visit. Take time to notice the clock's open metal framework and its contrast with the surrounding buildings. Follow local path signs and respect barriers around the structure when choosing a place to look or photograph it.
