Crowninshield Island

- Marblehead Town
Crowninshield Island is a small coastal preserve off Marblehead, with a beach, rocky edges and a short route toward a wooded hilltop.

Its position in the harbor gives it a different character from the mainland parks and headlands.
Foot access depends on low tide. Follow the Trustees’ tide-planning guidance for both the outward crossing and return, or use an appropriate authorized boat approach. The photograph shows the island from the water; it does not imply a permanent dry path or unrestricted access in every tide state.
