Glensheen Historic Estate preserves the Congdon family’s early-twentieth-century mansion and grounds on Lake Superior.

The furnished house and lakeside landscape offer a close view of wealth, design and domestic life during Duluth’s industrial growth.
Choose a tour option from the estate’s current visitor program, checking which floors and areas are included. Grounds access and special experiences may follow different arrangements. Allow time to look beyond the decorative rooms to the household’s working spaces and waterfront setting. Review current directions before driving, since road works or events can affect the usual approach.
