Lake Superior Railroad Museum occupies the historic depot in downtown Duluth, preserving railway equipment associated with the region’s growth.

Locomotives and cars connect the movement of people and freight with the industries and communities around Lake Superior.
Plan time for the museum collection as well as the depot building. Excursions on the associated North Shore Scenic Railroad are a separate experience with their own schedule and tickets, so check both if you want to combine them. Current visitor information explains available exhibits, seasonal activities and access arrangements for the historic equipment.
Visitor details reviewed October 18, 2026. Check official visitor information for current access, admission, and operating arrangements. View on OpenStreetMap.
