About Cherry Hill
Cherry Hill spans residential pockets in western Dearborn around Telegraph and Outer Drive, including the Levagood Park area and the smaller Dearborn Hills community.
Cherry Hill Street and the smaller residential communities
Cherry Hill is a broad Dearborn area, rather than one neighborhood association. The City gives Dearborn Hills Civic Association its own limits: generally Silvery Lane, Cherry Hill Street, the golf course and the Elmwood area. It separately lists Golfview Oaks between Ford Road, Outer Drive and Golfview. The association name on a property’s documents can therefore be more specific than “Cherry Hill.”
Dearborn Hills has its own exterior-project review
For a home covered by Dearborn Hills restrictions, the civic association says it reviews exterior projects submitted to the City for permits. Its plans-review page links architectural review forms and the deed restrictions, says reviewers generally have 30 days, and lists [email protected] for questions. Approved plans are stamped and returned for city filing. This process belongs to the Dearborn Hills community; it should not be assumed to apply to every home across the wider Cherry Hill area.
Levagood Park offers more than summer swimming
The City’s community-park directory lists Levagood Park at 950 North Silvery Lane. Its facilities include accessible play equipment, picnic tables, a walking track, ball field, tennis and basketball courts, an inline skating rink, bike racks and parking. The park’s outdoor pool is one part of that larger recreation site, so a visit for a walk or playground does not depend on a swim session.
Haigh and Bryant have different school-day schedules
Haigh Elementary is at 601 North Silvery Lane; Bryant Middle School is at 460 North Vernon. The district publishes a 9 a.m.–3:55 p.m. elementary day and an 8:25 a.m.–3:20 p.m. middle-school day, with Tuesday early release at 2:25 p.m. and 1:50 p.m. respectively. These nearby campuses have separate arrival routines; a home’s school assignment still comes from the district’s attendance boundaries.
Autumn leaf collection changes street parking
Dearborn’s 2026 loose-leaf collection is scheduled for October 26–December 4. When collection signs are present, vehicles must be off residential streets from 7 a.m.–4 p.m. The City’s linked alternative-parking sheet lists Levagood Park at 801 North Denwood Street for residents without driveways; that sheet was updated in October 2025.
The collection route distinguishes the York Park area between Ford, Outer Drive, Cherry Hill and Telegraph from the Levagood Park area west of Telegraph between Ford, Cherry Hill and Gulley. The Dearborn Hills collection area is south of Cherry Hill between Telegraph, Fairmount and Gulley. Posted collection signs and the City’s tracker identify the active route, rather than the broad Cherry Hill name alone.
