Michigan Avenue in West Downtown Dearborn
The City describes West Downtown as a business district along Michigan Avenue, separate from East Downtown farther along the same road. Around West Village Drive, upper-floor apartments sit above shops and restaurants, while public plazas and parking decks serve the surrounding blocks.
Upper-floor apartments at West Village Lofts
West Village Lofts, at 22253 Michigan Avenue, offers one- and two-bedroom lofts above ground-floor retail. The operator describes open floor plans, high ceilings and a key-fob entry system. Its West Village page advertises covered parking included without a separate fee. The property contact is 313-277-8500. This building’s parking arrangement is separate from the City’s short-stay spaces in the surrounding downtown lots.
The Wagner Deck’s ground floor has a three-hour limit
A West Downtown parking pilot began October 5, 2026, with three-hour limits from 7 a.m.–10 p.m. every day. It covers the ground floor of the Wagner Deck at 1034 Monroe Street as well as Lots D, E and H. The City excludes the deck’s upper levels and the East and West decks on West Village Drive from that pilot limit. Designated city events and valid accessible-space permits have exceptions. The pilot is scheduled for one year and may be adjusted.
PEACE Park West and West Village Commons are different stops
PEACE Park West is at 22271 West Village Drive. The City lists a performance pavilion, shaded walkways, seating, an urban walking trail and sculpture including a sundial. West Village Commons is a separate gathering space at 22223 Michigan Avenue, with seating, restaurant-adjacent dining space and added greenery.
Bryant’s renovation also closes its book-return box
Bryant Branch Library is at 22100 Michigan Avenue, but its current location page lists it as closed for renovation as checked October 22, 2026. The City’s renovation notice also closes Bryant’s return box and directs returns to Henry Ford Centennial Library at 16301 Michigan Avenue. Centennial is a separate destination farther east along the avenue; its information number is 313-943-2330.
