Hubbard Manor East is now Suzanne Sareini Manor
The senior apartment building at 5500 Calhoun Street was renamed Suzanne Sareini Manor in July 2025. Older listings may still call it Hubbard Manor East. The City lists it as housing for applicants aged 55 and older, with income requirements and an application process through its Housing Division.
As of October 22, 2026, the City lists Sareini Manor as accepting applications. Applications go through eligibility review and a waiting-list process. Housing Division buildings use a different application from Housing Commission properties such as Townsend Towers. The City’s Housing Office can clarify the process at 313-943-2391 or Housing@Dearborn.gov.
Ford Woods has both a neighborhood park and a seasonal pool
The City lists Ford Woods Park at 15200 Ford Road, with play equipment, a walking track, tennis, a ball field, an inline skating rink and picnic space. Its pool is separately listed at 5700 Greenfield Road. Those addresses refer to different approaches to the same park complex.
The outdoor pool is listed as closed for the season as of October 22, 2026. For indoor swimming, the City points to the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center at 15801 Michigan Avenue. Outdoor seasonal swim tags do not include admission to the indoor pools, so a summer pool membership does not cover that winter option.
Year-round ice does not mean drop-in skating all day
The Dearborn Ice Skating Center at 14900 Ford Road operates year-round and has two regulation-size ice surfaces. The City directs visitors to the rink operator’s public-skating calendar and program registration. Building opening hours and public-skating sessions are different information; use the session calendar when planning a skate rather than treating every open hour as public ice time.
